To Make: 1. Cut the flaps from the box. Cut three sides of a large square on the front of the box as show. Cut a child-size door in the back of the box.
2. Attach the yarn to the flap with a paper fastener. Place the second paper fastener in the top of the box so that the flap can be tied shut. 3. Paint the box with tempera paint, then decorate it with children's artwork. Students may also paint scenery on the box.
Optional Extra: . If desired, add a curtain to the puppet stage by threading two hemmed squares of fabric on a long piece of elastic. Attach the elastic ends inside the box on either side of the opening with sturdy thumbtacks.
